We found out the sex of the baby...and IT'S A BOY! Am I bummed? Mmm maybe a tad. But like I said, I knew it all along. My fiance was super bummed. His heart was racing while the doctor was doing the baby's measurements. He really wanted a girl. I was walking around Target the other day buying stuff for a baby shower and Target has the CUTEST girl clothes. I must admit I got a little sad seeing these cute summer dresses that I would love to buy, but didn't have a reason to. Now he just keeps saying we're going to try for a girl. I can't predict the future, but I don't see myself having a third kid. Plus, with our luck, we would be stuck with 3 boys!
So now that we know the sex of the baby, the rest of the pregnancy I feel, is less exciting. If it was a girl at least there would be some additional stuff I can do and clothes I can buy. Since it's a boy, we already kinda have everything we need. All we need to do now is think of a name which neither one of us are good at. I've taken a liking to Hunter, but when I think of names, I imagine myself scolding them with it and if it comes out naturally haha. Is that weird?!? Chase's name already means huntsmen, so I wonder if Hunter is a little too repetitive or would it be perfect that there are two hunters in the family.
I feel myself coming down with the bug. Yesterday I couldn't stop sneezing and now my throat feels like poop. I wonder if it's from sleeping late and it weakens my immune system. We put Chase down for bed at 9 both Friday and Saturday night and he still woke up by 7am! Thank goodness right now he's still in a crib because I usually leave him in there for 30 minutes to see if he goes back to sleep. I know this kid is still tired! It really sucks, I am a person that needs a lot of sleep. It runs in my family. We sleep early on the weekdays to accommodate the fact that we wake up early. Does this mean we need to start sleeping early on the weekends too? I'm hoping it's just a phase, but it doesn't seem like it. He must get that from Brandon. Brandon cannot sleep in to save his life, but he isn't waking up at 6:30am!
So I took advantage of The Body Shop's 40% off your order and free shipping. I got a couple things that I was eyeballing from the Tea Tree Oil collection. Finally got it on Friday. I was so excited!
First off, I LOVE the packaging. It really makes you feel like you're opening a present. I really wouldn't have ordered so many things if it wasn't for the 40% off entire purchase.
Lightening Touch ($14)
It's suppose to be kind a good under eye concealer. It remind's me of the Radiance Enhancer I got from E.L.Fm except without the shimmer. The original price on this is $14. Personally, I wouldn't get it full priced. The applicator is suppose to be like the Radiance Enhancer, except the brush part is not soft at all. It's actually kind of point and hard which makes it hard to apply and awkward!
Sweet Lemon Body Whip Lotion ($12)
I've been looking for a cute lotion to put by the kitchen sink. My hands get so dry from doing the dishes and just constantly washing my hands. So I thought, what better than a cute lotion! I even got a lemon scent to kind of go with a kitchen clean theme. It is moisturizing and it smells great. But for $12.00 I wish it was a bigger bottle.
Seaweed Ionic Clay Mask ($22)
I got this because as I'm getting older, I'm starting to care about my skin. (I guess mom was right) I feel like my skin's main issue is that I get a lot of blackheads or have a lot of existing blackheads. They have a little chart for you to see what type of mask is best for your skin type. I have combination/oily skin. I like that its 100% natural. I haven't tried it yet but I'll have to soon!
Tea Tree Blackhead Exfoliating Wash ($13)
Okay, I got this to substitute my Neutrogena Redness Reducing Face Scrub. I used it last night and personally, I wish there were more scrubbies. Maybe I didn't use enough so I'll try again tonight, but it just didn't really feel soapy. I notice that the Tea Tree products always feel very light.
The product description says this, "Keep your skin clear and soft with a creamy facial scrub that is specially formulated to help unclog pores by
gently exfoliating to remove trapped dirt, oil and dead skin cells." First of all there's nothing really creamy about it.
Instead of the usual "beads" that comes with face scrubs, this one has crushed apricot stones. I felt like there weren't enough scrubbies to make me feel like I was actually exfoliating, but at the same time the "stones" were kind of rough! I guess I'll just give it another try with more product to see if it works out better.
Tea Tree Blemish Fade Night Lotion ($18)
So at first I was using the first Tea Tree face lotion at night as well. Then I saw they had a specific night lotion so I had to try it! It's definitely more moisturizing. The regular face lotion goes on very thin and light. I like that this is suppose to be more moisturizing AND its suppose to help improve the appearance of blemish damaged skin. Hopefully, it makes those jawline acne scars go away!
Tea Tree Concealer ($9)
This product is exactly what it sounds like. I got it because sometimes I feel bad putting concealer on a pimple! I feel like I'm just contributing to the cause of the pimple in the first place. If I ever pop a pimple (I know shame on me) I usually put Neosporin on it. Helps kill the bacteria I think but still has vitamin E to help with the broken skin cells. So, if I could use a concealer that's suppose to be good for pimples that would be even better!
Those are all of the Tea Tree products next to each other for a comparison in size. The face wash was the biggest, but all of the other products were TINY! Personally, I felt like everything was over priced but I jumped at the chance to try these products since I was getting everything almost half off. I'm hoping it really helps with my skin issues.
